FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
WHAT CAN A PERSONAL TRAINER DO FOR ME?If you want to become slimmer, have more energy, or enhance your physical performance, a Personal Trainer can help. Beyond delivering an effective exercise programme and providing motivation, a PT will also address lifestyle and nutritional factors to maximise the effectiveness of your exercise regimen.
-
DO I NEED TO BE FIT TO START PERSONAL TRAINING?Absolutely not! A Personal Trainer is an excellent way to start your fitness journey. While athletes and professionals often use PTs, you don’t need to be in a fit condition to begin. Everyone has their own unique challenges, whether it’s running for a bus or preparing for a marathon.
-
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO COME?Most clients attend weekly sessions and receive an email after each session detailing what they need to do before the next one. You can opt for fortnightly or even monthly sessions if you’re on a budget, but weekly sessions provide regular motivation and help you see results faster.
-
WHERE DO SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?Most sessions take place in my private studio located in London. Sometimes, I head to a local park for outdoor exercise. If you prefer home or workplace visits, please contact me directly to check availability and pricing.
-
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?In the private studio, you can wear whatever you like as long as you're comfortable and able to move freely. Choose clothing that allows you to stretch easily and feel at ease.
-
AM I TOO OLD FOR THIS?You’re never too old to start moving! I have trained clients ranging from 16 to 87 years old. As we age, exercise programmes need to be adapted to accommodate changes in our bodies. Lower-impact strength exercises help maintain good muscle tone, posture, and balance as we age.
-
WHAT IS THE COST?I try to keep my fees as low as possible for London standards, as living in the city can be expensive. My fees are £50 for an hour, considering the location and the general expense for transportation and personal training, I'm budget-friendly. I also offer training packages that are convenient and more affordable as you can see below in this FAQ. If you're looking for a different option, feel free to email me.
-
IS IT MORE EXPENSIVE THAN JOINING A GYM?While a block of PT sessions may seem like a significant investment, it teaches you how to exercise without the need for a gym. This knowledge can save you money on gym fees in the long run. Most people don’t utilise their gym memberships fully, so investing in PT sessions can be a more cost-effective option.
-
WILL IT HURT?You might experience some muscle soreness, especially if you’re returning to exercise after a long break or if you’ve never exercised formally before. Stretching and warm baths can help alleviate this discomfort. I don’t subscribe to the ‘no pain, no gain’ mentality, but some muscle tenderness is a natural part of progress as your body adapts and gets stronger. The first fitness session is the easiest, with each subsequent session becoming more challenging to help your body gradually adapt to increased exertion.
-
